Many thanks all for coming to the Club Champs. We were very lucky with the weather – the snow started falling as I collected controls.

People seemed to enjoy the course format. The wood is only 1km square, so planning was a challenge. I hope you all had a chance to look at the spectacular stretch of river near the last few controls.

Apologies for the traditional computer failure on the day. The laptop died. We thought it was the cold, but Lecky reports it is still dead.

The top places in the Club Champs were tight and were:-

Ben Nicholls was about a second off 3rd place.

So many congratulations to Richard, who gets the poisoned chalice of next year’s organisation.

Sorry I forgot the trophy Richard. Will try and pass on at an event soon.

I almost gave the other prizes to the correct people!

Will did win the blue, with Jack close behind. Natalie doesn’t seem to have downloaded! I’m uncertain if Hollie is a LOC-member yet. If she is, she was the quickest lady. If not it was Claire.

Hannah did win the green. But Harry was the quickest boy – a great run for I think his first green course.

I got the orange prizes correct. Well done Thomas and Megan. And thanks for the orange competitor posse who caused such entertainment by missing the final control by a mile J

Simon Cane won the Fast Cat trophy – well done.

I think Harry was given the Most Improved Junior award. Will and Natalie were also given prizes.

And Richard and Selwyn were given bottles of wine by the juniors to thank them for their fantastic efforts ferrying them around.
